The course is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Ireland and the UK.
Over the course you will be given:
Dry Needling has many different uses, and can affect all tissues of the body. The most common use of Dry Needling is to reduce muscle pain and dysfunction by releasing oversensitive areas in the muscle (known as myofascial trigger points). When Dry Needling is applied to an affected muscle or trigger point, it reduces muscle tightness and pain, while increasing blood flow and range of motion.
Dry Needling can also be applied to bone structures, helping joint ranges and restrictions, along with triggering internal joint response which could lead to major changes and releases (you can read about one of the breakthrough cases done by the teaching staff treating Bunion (Hallux Valgus) and the changed Dry Needling has done to the bone structure).
Another application of Dry Needling is affecting the nervous system, calming down or triggering specific parts of the nervous system, bringing the system into a homeostatic state, allowing the body to better treat pathologies within.
Patients often report immediate relief after treatment, a relief that holds over time.
It is an ideal course for practicing therapists who wish to add an efficient skill to their skillset.
